Tasco® has been used successfully by producers of both beef and dairy cattle to reduce hoof problems and maintain health of cows in both pasture and confined housing environments. A reduction in lameness and reduction of culling for foot problems is one of the most common observations when using Tasco®.
LESS TREATED COWS
We have 400 beef cows and were treating so many of them for foot rot that we were considering selling them. The cows had trouble walking. Treating cows was time consuming and medicine was expensive.
We tried several different prevention ideas and nothing seemed to work. Our County Coop representative suggested Tasco®. We liked the idea of the natural iodine in the Tasco® . We added it to our regular feeding program and after a short period of time, we were treating very few cows for foot rot.
Now we keep Tasco® year round in our feeding program. We have been using Tasco®for three years now and it is still working. It is inexpensive when compared to the cost of catching and treating cows.
