INTRODUCTION A trial was run in Central Iowa to evaluate the effect of feeding Tasco®on performance and amount of pork produced by grower-finisher pigs under heat stress conditions.
RESULTS Compared to control diet, the inclusion of Tasco®dramatically decreased the percentage of death loss in the treated group.
CONCLUSION
The pigs fed Tasco®in summer were exposed to higher temperature than the pigs fed the control diet. The control group had a higher death loss percentage than the Tasco® group. The addition of Tasco®in the diet of grower-finisher pigs can help to reduce heat stress and increase performance.
