INTRODUCTION
Four separate trials conducted at different locations with high-producing dairy cows, under summer production conditions concluded that milk production was increased when Tasco® was included in the normal diet of lactating dairy cows.
RESULTS
From these experiments it was observed that Tasco® treated dairy cows had increased milk production compared to the control groups.
CONCLUSION
It can be concluded that Tasco® groups showed a significant increase in milk production.
Moreover, a modification of the milk composition was observed, in the group fed Tasco®, in the study conducted at Kansas State University. The cows fed Tasco® showed a significant increase in milk and protein production.
RESULTS
Cows fed Tasco® produced more pounds of milk, milk solids, lactose and protein than control.
CONCLUSION
Milk and milk protein production was increased when Tasco® was included in the diet for lactating dairy cattle. Similar intake was observed for control treatment cattle. An increase in milk production on similar intake resulted in an increase in lactation efficiency over the control diet. |
